The northwest wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its readiness to ensure formidable unity amongst its members in all the states of the zone.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the zonal publicity secretary of the party, Musa Mailafiya Mada, the decision had been reached during a meeting of the North-West officials of the party which was presided by the National Vice Chairman in charge of the Zone Salihu Mohammed Lukman at the Zonal Secretariat of the party in Kaduna.
The National Vice Chairman said taking into cognisance of Nigeria’s political history, the North-west has been with majority votes and winning it determines who becomes the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in all the democratic elections that took place in this country since the very beginning of the process.
“We cannot move forward if we can’t speak with one voice as one political family,” he said.
He emphasized the party’s strategic plans at the zone in bridging all the existing gaps created by political frictions in their efforts to retain the glory of the northwest in Nigerian politics.
Lukman appealed to officials in the zone to tirelessly work for the overall success of the party by justifying the confidence reposed in them by members, adding that unity and progress remain the topmost watchword.
